NEW DELHI: Offering reverence to its glorious history and paying rich tribute to its Martyrs, CRPF celebrated its 75th Raising Day on 27th July, 2013 in a glittering ceremony held at New Delhi today.
Re-assuring the faith of a billion people, the Force personnel assembled on the occasion took a pledge to keep the Mission flag of the Force flying high and re-affirm their commitment towards the motto of the Force ‘Service and Loyality’. Dr. A.P.Maheshwari, IG Northern Sector was the Chief Guest on this occasion.
Rising on the powesr of constant capacity building, CRPF raised in 1939 as “Crown Representative Force” has gradually evolved to be the largest Para-Military Force of the world and while performing multifarious duties in all the operational theatres of the country like J&K, North-East and areas affected by Left Wing Extremism, Force has equally contributed in maintaining the world peace by virtue of its association with United Nation’s Peace keeping missions all across the Globe.
Dr.A.P. Maheshwari IG Norther Sector, CRPF was among the various dignitaries and Force personnel prstudents of CRPF Public Schools and personnel of various units deployed in National Capital Region, which kept the audience spell-bound.
A documentary showcasing the glorious history and the achievements of the Force were also displayed on the occasion. A “Bada Khana” at 122 Bn, Andheriya More was organised after the event which was attended by all Ranks and file of the Force present on the occasion.
