Today is the last day of Shooting events. All of India's big guns are in contention for medals.
Shooting: Gagan Narang and Sanjeev Rajput will be in action at 13:00 IST in the 50m Rifle 3 Pos. Qualification. Yesterday, Narang, taking part for the first time in the 50 m rifle prone event picked up a silver medal. Lajja Gauswami and Elizabeth Koshy will represent India in the Women's 50m Rifle 3 Pos. Qualification 16:45 IST.
Hockey: India take on Australia in the Men's Preliminary Match at 14:00 IST.
On Day 6, India will be looking to add more medals to their tally in the shooting and wrestling events. After winning a Silver medal yesterday, Gagan Narang will feature again today, this time in the 50m Rifle 3 Positions event along with Sanjeev Rajput. 2012 London Olympics silver-medallist Vijay Kumar along with Harpreet Singh will compete in the 25m Rapid Fire Pistol event.
Day 2 of the Trap event will comprise of two Indians in Manavjit Sandhu and Mansher Singh, while Lajja Gauswami and Elizabeth Koshy make up India`s challenge in 50m Rifle 3 Positions event.
After a good show on Day 5, the boxers will be looking to advance in the semifinals of the Men`s events. Quarterfinal bouts of Manoj Kumar (64kg) and Sumit Sangwan (81kg) are scheduled today.
Wresting events are also set to commence as two-time Olympic medallist Sushil Kumar heads the quest of Indian grapplers in Glasgow. He will feature in the Freestyle 74kg Round of 16. Rajeev Tomar, another key member of India`s wresting contingent is in action in the quarter-final of the Freestyle 125 kg category.
But the scrapping of Greco-Roman category will certainly affect the country`s medal count. During the 2010 edition of the Games at New Delhi, the Greco-Roman wrestlers grabbed seven (four gold, one silver and two bronze) out of 19 medals won by India.
In hockey, the Indians will be faced with a stiff task of upstaging the mighty Australians. That match is scheduled for 14:00 IST start.
