London: Two UK designers and aviation enthusiasts claim to have developed the world's first flying bicycle ' XploreAir Paravelo ' that can attain a speed of 40kph and reach 4000 feet above ground. The bike transforms into an easy-to-operate aircraft which requires no licence to fly and is capable of reaching altitudes of up to 4,000 feet. It is a combination of a para-wing and conventional bicycle. PTI

Flash floods kill 58 in Afghanistan

KABUL: Afghan officials said flash floods have killed at least 58 people in four eastern provinces, while an estimated 30 people are still missing. Provincial spokesmen in Nangarhar, Kabul, Khost, and Nuristan said on Sunday that all the floods had occurred early Saturday. AP

Blast at Buddhist temple in Jakarta

jakarta: A low-powered explosive detonated at a Buddhist temple in Indonesia's capital as devotees inside were praying, injuring one person while another bomb failed to go off, police said. The explosion happened Sunday night at the Ekayana Grha Buddhist temple in West Jakarta, chief of National Police Detective Lt. Gen. Sutarman said. The bombs were placed outside the building and the blast caused minimal damage. AP
