New Delhi/Deepak Mandal,Nitika Ahluwalia:Association of Indian Medical Device Industry (AIMED) and the Indian Medical Association (IMA), signed an agreement (MoU)to promote the 'Cure in India "initiative. This agreement could be the game changer in term of promoting medical devices made in India . This initiative will improve medical tourism in India as well as "buy Indian" campaign under the purchase of Indian-made medical equipment will be encouraged. This will enhance the use of medical devices made in India in Medical sector as well as in the Indian Medical Profession.
Under this scheme IMA will inspire the medical community to take step ahead in using and encourage the medical devices which are made in India. Under stringent Parameters as followed by International exporters,IMA will approve the quality parameters of these products.
According to the agreement AIMED and IMA will establish a joint system to encourage Indian medical equipments industry. According to the 'Cure in India' initiative safe medical equipments and at an affordable price will be given to users and consumers .This step will largely support the “Make in India” initiative and will be a very affirmative impact on Indian made medical equipments . This will build the brand in India, the Indian industry and the nation will be respected worldwide.
