New Delhi/ Karampal:Country's largest value fashion brand Max announced the top 15 finalist of Max Design Awards 2014 in association with Elle. Max ambition is to recognise and reward the next generation of Fashion designers and to provide them a platform in fast changing trends in fashion industry.
This programme started this year in August. 1050 Students registered themselves from the top 15 fashion designing colleges across the India. The jury shortlisted 15 participants on the based on theme, presentation, style, originality, colour aesthetics, and creative details.
These entries were judged by esteemed panel of jury which included fashion designers Ashish Soni, Masaba Gupta, Gaurav Gupta and industry experts including Shekar CS- President, Max fashion, Malini Banerjee- Fahion, Director Elle India, Kamakshi Kaul- Head Design, Max Fashion and Marc Robinson- Project head, Max design , Max design awards.
Speaking on the ocassion jury member Masaba Gupta quoted, "It's a great initiative by Max fashions to do something like this. This programme is great boost for the students and their confidence level. "
Jury member , Gaurav Gupta- "I think ther is a lot of young, budding talent in our country and Max design awards provide a great opportunity for these young talents."
Ashish Soni (jury member) said "With this initiative of Max students can work with to express themselves with emerging new trends in fashion industry. "
"There is always need to get a platform for youngesters and Max is providing them opportunity to show their talent. Top 15 students would get an opportunity to intern with Max and showcase a capsule colleciton at the ELLE Graduates show in december this year. Each of the finalist will showcase their collection at the Max design awards night to be held in Mumbai on 12 december this year. Top three winners will be rewarded a cash prize of INR 50000/- each", added Marc Robinson- project head, Max design awards.
