Making a foray into politics with the December 4 Assembly elections, the party plans to unveil its manisfesto and the names of candidates at Jantar Mantar on Sunday. However, it already has a symbol ' the stethoscope.

"We have been working quietly since we registered our party in 2008. We are confident of the work we have done so far. On Sunday, we will be announcing our list of candidates, who will be contesting from all 70 seats. We will also be releasing our manifesto,'' party president

Dr Sanjeev Chhiber, who is a senior cancer surgeon, said.

According to Chhiber, the party will be contesting elections for the first time. "In 2008 itself, we had made it clear that we would contest the 2013 Assembly elections. Except for a rogue candidate who contested elections in 2008 without our knowledge or support, this will be our first attempt at polls. We are hoping to get at least seven seats this time," he said.

Chhiber, who calls himself an author and a poet, said he was involved with the Anna Hazare movement and was working in a medical camp at Ramlila Maidan. "The reason for fielding such a party is that it is time for the middle class to join politics. Our effort will be to change India and fight corruption. We will be fielding doctors, defence officers, students as candidates. We are yet to finalise our candidate from the New Delhi constituency,'' Chhiber said.

Ask him for his views on Aam Aadmi Party and Chhiber is quick to retort. "We don't consider it a party."

Speaking of plans for the Lok Sabha elections next year, Chibber said, "We are confident of the kind of work we have been doing at the ground level and will be contesting from 250 seats in the Lok Sabha elections too.''
