New Delhi/Deepak mandal,Nitika Ahluwalia: A blood donation camp was organised on Friday by the Sant Nirankari Mission in the premises of Nirankari Satsang,Burari. More than 1500 volunteers donated blood. On the same day, a motorcycle rally was organised to spread the message of universal brotherhood and service to mankind.
The camp was Organized on the occasion of Manav Ekta divas Samagam to commemorate the supreme sacrifice of Baba Gurbachan Singh ji who laid down his life on this day in 1980 while crusading for love,truth,peace and unity.Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj said that “ blood should flow in veins and not in drains”.Under the supervision of many hospitals ( Sucheta Kriplani , LNJP, G.B.Pant,Hindu Rao,B.S.Ambedkar,RML,DDU,AIIMS,GTB,Dr.Hedgevar,IRCS) more than 1550 volunteers had donated their blood for the noble deed .
The mission has proposed to organise 74 blood donation camps on the same day, the Manav Ekta Diwas . The series will be inaugurated by Nirankari Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj in Delhi whereabout more than 1000 devotees are expected to donate their blood. 74 other camps also scheduled in various cities across India.
