The teleconferencing is scheduled to be for one hour from 6 pm. There would be three groups comprising 500 BJP workers of different levels in each.
The interaction programme would only be for organisational workers. Senior leaders like former Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi and leader of opposition in Bihar Assembly Nandkishore Yadav would not be involved, said state BJP President Mangal Pandey.
The media managers of Modi have developed a software that would ensure group calls to him from party workers from across the state.
The idea behind direct call to party functionaries ' including panchayat and block presidents, morcha heads and state executive members ' aims to know "what needs to be done to further strengthen" the party, more so after its split with the JD(U) in Bihar.
Bihar BJP co-incharge Dharmendra Pradhan told The Indian Express: "The 1,500 calls are divided in three lots. Calls will be made to party functionaries across the state. Tele-conferencing will have five-six calls at a time giving their suggestions to Modi and listening to his brief. It is more about Modi rendering direct touch to party functionaries to galvanise them for the big battle."
Pradhan said Modi might have chosen to speak to Bihar cadre because he knew they "had made sacrifice (by splitting with the JD-U) and needed to be given the right boost to prepare" for 2014 elections. The party office-bearers, however, are not called to gather at particular places for tele-conferencing.
"Narendra Modi is not just our national campaign committee head, he is a very good strategist and organiser. Tele-conferencing is one of his ways to kick-start the campaign by giving it right motivation and energy," said Pradhan.
Narendra Modi had kept off from Bihar in 2009 Parliamentary polls as well 2010 Assembly elections. BJP has 12 Lok Sabha members from Bihar at present while its erstwhile partner JD(U) has 20. RJD has 4, Congress 2 and as many others are Independent.
