You lost captaincy, now fielding interest too: Jadeja to Raina

The argument began just after the fall of the ninth West Indies wicket to Jadeja's bowling, ending a frustrating 58-run stand between Sunil Narine and Kemar Roach. Both batsmen had been dropped earlier by Raina, off Jadeja's bowling.

As words flew around, Ishant Sharma and other team mates separated the two.

"Jadeja told Raina, 'Because you've lost the captaincy, you've also lost interest in fielding?' That's what started the fight," an insider told The Sunday Express.

Raina had led the Indian team when they last toured the Caribbean for an ODI series in 2011.

Virat Kohli has since overtaken Raina in the pecking order of future successors to Mahendra Singh Dhoni. When Dhoni suffered a hamstring pull in the first match of the ongoing tournament, Kohli took over the reins.

The insider, however, said that the on-field tension didn't spill over to the dressing room. The squabbling duo, he said, walked off the field together and didn't speak about the incident later.
