Bayern Munich aim to complete the best year in club history with a fifth 2013 title at the Club World Cup to confirm their current number one status in world football.

Munich romped to a Champions League, Bundesliga and German cup title treble under Jupp Heynckes in the past season and have not let up since Pep Guardiola took over as coach in summer, winning the European super cup and going undefeated all year in the league.

Not surprisingly crowned German Team of the Year on Sunday at the annual domestic sports awards, Munich take on Asian champions Guangzhou Evergrande of China in the semi-finals on Tuesday.

The winner plays the final on Saturday in Marrakesh against either local side Raja Casablanca or Ronaldinho-led South American champions Atletico Mineiro of Brazil, who play the second semi-final on Wednesday.

'We have been very successful all year and now want to cap it. We want to try to be the true number one in the duel of the best clubs in the world. That is our aim,' goalkeeper Manuel Neuer said after Munich’s arrival in Morocco.
