"On request of the district administration, a team from the South Western Command of the Army was called into service," Defence spokesperson S D Goswami said.

The boy, Chotu, fell into the borewell on Wednesday while he was playing near it. The police however fear that he may already be dead as visuals taken from a camera on Thursday did not detect any movement.
