Vijayvargiya's latest targets
Industry Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya is known for giving lessons in morality to women and making controversial statements against political rivals. Recently he tweeted his displeasure about leaders who say one thing one day and another thing the next, and surprised all by including the BJP's Yashwant Sinha in this bracket, besides the Congress's Digvijay Singh and the JD(U)'s Shivanand Tiwari. Sinha's reported flip-flop was on a statement he had made about Narendra Modi. Vijayvargia is a very vocal Modi supporter. When Shatrughan Sinha commented on Modi, the minister tweeted that "God should give wisdom to Shatrughanji". When a letter sent by some MPs to the US President on denying Modi a visa surfaced, he wanted to know, "Is Obama their father that they are complaining to him?"
Building bridges
Former tribal welfare minister Vijay Shah, who was sacked after a series of double-entendre remarks that were seen as having targeted Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and his wife Sadhna Singh, has built bridges with the party and his boss. Shah has spent more than three-and-a-half months in the cold, keeping a very low profile in the first couple of months. Immediately after being sacked, he had tonsured his head to mourn the death of a party worker close to him. Later, rumours had started doing the rounds that he was in a mood to revolt. Then he was seen making quiet visits to the chief minister's bungalow. Recently, the BJP announced that top leaders had seen and heard the entire CD of his speech and were "convinced" about his "innocence".
