SP refuses to blink on Durga Shakti Nagpal
This came a day after Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav defended the decision of the Uttar Pradesh government to suspend Nagpal. He had said that the decision of the Akhilesh Yadav government was "final" and "correct".

UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav also remained defiant on the decision, saying officials who do wrong would be punished. "There may be many children who would have received a beating from their teachers and parents when they did something wrong... the government is also run like this... whenever any official does something wrong, he is punished," he had said.

Party spokesperson Ram Gopal Yadav said, "If the Centre wants to intervene, it can remove all the IAS officers from UP. We will run the state with our own officers."
