A few days ago, Imran Khan had to cancel his planned two-week vacation with wife Avantika to Germany. The reason: the schedule of his next film got extended and he was forced to cancel all his bookings — from flights to hotels. Although he will make the trip in the future, the actor refuses to plan it in detail fearing it may get jinxed.
'After my film releases, I plan to quietly sneak out, but only once I know that I have 15 days in hand. Then I will make the bookings,' says Imran, adding that he hasn’t decided yet on the destination yet. 'We will take a call after the film’s release.' As per reports, the actor was planning to visit Hamburg with wife Avantika, and then visit various cities in Germany on the autobahns (these are highways in the country and are famous to have no speed limits).
Ask Imran if his wife complained after their trip got cancelled and he says with a laugh, 'More than her, I think I am complaining because I need a break. I have been shooting continuously. Through the summer, I was busy with Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbai Dobaara. Then, Gori Tere Pyaar Mein came up. I only hope to take some time out in November or December.'
Besides his rom-com with Kareena Kapoor Khan, Imran also has a Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra-directed adventure thriller and Vikramaditya Motwane's next in hand. The actor says, 'These days, I am lying low before the promotional blitzkrieg starts for my new film. I have been having long meetings for them.'
