Chandrasekaran takes over at Nasscom

The National Association of Software and Services Companies (Nasscom), on Wednesday, appointed Executive Vice-Chairman of Cognizant India R. Chandrasekaran as its Chairman for 2014-15.

In a telephonic interaction with The Hindu, the newly-appointed Chairman said the software industry body this year would work towards rebranding the $108 million Indian IT-BPM industry to move beyond cost arbitrage to becoming innovation centre. Mr. Chandrasekaran succeeds Krishnakumar Natarajan, CEO and Managing Director of Mindtree. The Executive Council also appointed BVR Mohan Reddy, Founder, Chairman and Managing Director of Infotech Enterprises, as Vice-Chairman for 2014-15.
