Now, Flipkart gets a native Windows app

E-commerce major Flipkart launched a native app for the Windows phone, after launching apps on the Android and iOS platform last year.

The app, now optimised for the Windows phone, aims at making shopping fast and smooth for consumers. E-commerce players have been reporting a steady increase in traffic from mobile phones. In a release, Flipkart announced that the app was free for download and a discount was being offered for the first three days.

Saran Chatterjee, Vice-President, Products and Mobile Strategy at Flipkart, said that with smartphones becoming more affordable and a steady rise in internet-enabled devices, the number of people who were using their mobile phones to shop was increasing dramatically. — Staff Reporter

Ramco Systems has announced a new order win from MHW, a leading U.S. based service provider for wine, spirits and malt beverage product companies in the U.S. The company said in a release that it would offer a comprehensive ERP on a cloud platform to MHW which would help the latter to bring all its business functions on to a common IT platform. — Special Correspondent
